ALSC's Recommended Booklists

The Association for Library Services to Children has compiled several lists of recommended books. These lists offer titles for early readers, reluctant readers, building a home library, Newbery & Caldecott books translated into other languages, helping children cope with tragedy, and several other excellent guides. For example, the Great Early Elementary Reads list covers books published from 2009-2011 and is divided into 2 sections: "Starting to Read" and "Reading on Your Own."
